The Passing of Reno Blue
Reno may have been small in stature, but huge in life and giving. He was foaled in spring of 1985 just outside Reno, Nevada. The following year he was part of a satellite adoption in Whately, Massachusetts and was adopted by Mona Jerome on May 16, 1985. Reno met every challenge of training, excelled beyond expectations and became the ambassador for the breed. He traveled many miles as a member of an all mustang drill team, carried many children on his back for countless pony rides and was a winning partner to 4H members. His annual visits to retirement homes delighted the residents. He gave pleasure to all who met him.
We sadly said goodbye on Sept. 4th after an unexpected serious colic incident. We welcome tributes and comments from all who knew him.
